Primary school day
Nursery, reception and Year 1 (MAPLES)
The school day starts at 08:15 but you can drop your child off from 7:45.
In Early Years, children have access to healthy snacks until 10:30.
For Nursery, lunch is served at 11:45, after which they can take a nap. For Reception lunch is served at 12:15. For Year 1 lunch is served at 12:45.
The normal school day finishes at 15:00.
Your child can stay at our after-school Rockets club between 15:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday, and 15:00-16:00 on Friday. Please let us know in advance if your child is joining Rockets - including what time they'll be picked up - to ensure we have the right number of staff available.

Years 2-6 (OAKS)
The Oaks 1 playground gates open at 7:45. Our children are supervised in the playground until their teacher picks them up at 8:00, lessons start at 8:15. Children who arrive by bus will go to the Oaks 1 playground and wait with the other children in the playground.  Students who arrive after 08:00 are considered late and must sign in at the Front Office. In the event of extreme weather children will come straight into the school building.
Morning snack and playtime (10:05-10:30)
All our students have a morning break where they eat a snack and play outside.

Lunch and playtime (12:00-13:00)
Our students have an hour for lunch and playtime. A hot meal is provided or your child can bring in a packed lunch.

End of the day

Children in Year 2-6 are collected from the Oaks 1 playground at 15:00. After school clubs run until 16:00 and children are collected from the Oaks 1 playground. Bus students will go straight to the buses. Children in Year 4, 5, & 6 can leave school without an adult providing that parental permission has been given. Students without 'permission' are collected by an adult as usual.
All our primary children follow a two-week timetable (week A and week B). Like our secondary students, they're issued with their timetable on the first day of school.

Secondary school day

Your child will follow a two-week timetable so it's important they know which week is operating when, and that they have the right books and materials for each day. Alternate weeks are labeled A and B, and are clearly displayed in school.

Registration begins at 8:00, followed by the first lesson at 8:15. The academic day runs from 8:00 until 15:00 Monday to Friday, and 8:05. Periods are 55 minutes long before lunch break and 50 minutes long after lunch break, with some double lessons. Students have a 25-minute morning break at 10:05. Lunch starts at 12:20 and runs for an hour.

Extra-curricular activities

We offer an extensive range of extra-curricular activities at lunchtime and after school (from 15:00-16:00 Monday to Friday). The clubs vary from term to term, and details are given during the first week. We also run several clubs outside of these times, including at weekends.
