Hannah O’Brien completed a Bachelor of Primary Education at Australian Catholic University in Melbourne. She began her career teaching in a multicultural school before moving into a specialist role supporting newly arrived refugee children. These experiences shaped her belief in the importance of inclusive, compassionate teaching.
She later taught in China, where she also served as UNICEF and English Co-ordinator, helping students take meaningful action on sustainability and social issues. Since moving to Dover Court in 2020, Hannah has led maths across the primary school, focusing on conceptual understanding, assessment, and curriculum development.
Hannah is passionate about creating classrooms that are inclusive, inspiring, and safe places where students feel confident to take risks and develop independence. She is committed to nurturing curiosity, resilience, and social responsibility, encouraging every child to thrive academically and personally.
Outside the classroom, Hannah enjoys travelling and sport, as well as cooking and exploring new restaurants!
